AUTHOR'S NOTES :
Now because the Schwarzenegger films aren't known for being 'feminist', I'd like summarize how this movie does have a very strong feminist character.
(Hopefully without spoilers. ^^;;)
Though not the main character of the film, I dare you to NOT love Detective Phoebe O’hara:
Detective O’hara is a secondary character who makes SIGNIFICANT contributions to the plot.
An independent woman with her own man, she is NOT AT ALL a love interest to the muscly male protagonist.
She’s cool under pressure and a quick thinker and most certainly NOT a damsel in distress.
Despite her tough hide, she’s friendly and lovable.
She loves to eat junk food, lots of it, and though she gets pestered about it she stands her ground and remains proud.
BONUS: Linda Hunt plays the school principal. <3
