Geek Moments: Miracle on Youtube
Updated: May 18, 2020

I was doing a casual cleaning of my e-mail inbox today when the strangest and most glorious thing happened.
I clicked this link to see if I had watched the video yet or not ( I do this to determine whether or not I keep the e-mail that linked it, blah! blah! blah! ) and as I waited for the ad to finish, and the video itself to load, I did what I normally do: I opened a new tab to start multitasking.
Imagine my surprise when I heard the lullaby version of 'Carry on my Wayward Son' instead of... Well, the usual commercial advertisement jibber jabber.
So, of course, I quickly switched back to that tab to see why I was listening to lovely music instead of badly scripted marketing talk and—lo and behold!—an advertisement for that very song cover:

AND THE AUDIO WASN'T CENSORED BY YOUTUBE!
AND IT WAS PROPERLY SOURCED!!!!
*faints*
Man, oh man, I did NOT see that coming! Not by a long shot!
I didn't know song covers could be advertised via Youtube, since Youtube has a crappy—yet super aggressive—copyright infringement detection algorithms. So while I'm not 100% certain if the advertisement was legit, the advert did contain correct information, cited sources, and was super relevant to my beloved fandom ( "Supernatural" ) so...
...I thought it was a lovely surprise and decided to share this with all of you.
